At Makers Art Studio Pleasanton, we believe every child is an artist.
Our My First Art Studio program introduces young children to sketching, painting, and creative exploration in a fun, structured way. Over the course of 12-week sessions (once weekly), kids build skills, confidence, and imagination — all while having a blast with friends.

This is more than just an art class — it’s a foundational creative learning experience designed to help young children develop essential skills that support success both in and out of school.

At Makers Art Studio, we introduce kids to a variety of engaging, hands-on art techniques including fluid art, texture art, stencil art, and mixed-media projects. Each session is thoughtfully designed to build fine motor skills, focus, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities — all while having fun.

Many schools today offer limited access to art education. This class fills that gap by giving children a structured yet playful environment where they can explore creativity as a lifelong skill and hobby.

What kids will learn:

Foundations of color, patterns, and composition

Hands-on techniques across multiple art styles (fluid, texture, stencil & more)

How to follow creative processes from idea to finished artwork

Confidence in expressing ideas visually

? FAQs 

1) What happens if my child misses a class?

We understand some flexibility will be needed with kids. We will offer one make up class during a session where your child can catch up. The time and schedule may be different and will be aligned to match instructor's availability.

2) My child needs additional guidance and 1:1 class.

We will offer 1:1 instruction with a qualified instructor. This will be scheduled in studio for kids already enrolled in a program. The cost of each private lesson will be $45 per class (subject to change).
