Fluid Art in Pleasanton

Tip, tilt and pour vivid acrylics into swirling, one-of-a-kind canvases — no brushes, no experience, no two alike. Our signature experience for first-timers, date nights, kids and groups alike. This is the studio you knew as Hawaii Fluid Art.

★★★★★ 4.9 on Google · 100+ reviews · All materials included · Beginner-friendly & fully guided

Fluid art (also called pour painting or acrylic pouring) is the most beginner-friendly art there is: you mix flowing paints, pour them onto canvas, and tilt to reveal cells, ribbons and marbled color. Everyone's turns out beautiful — that's the magic, and why it's our most-booked first visit.

Great for a solo reset, a date night, a girls' night or a family outing — and you walk away with a canvas that's truly one of a kind.

How a fluid art session works

  • Pick your colors — choose a palette; we help you make combos that pop.
  • Pour & tilt — layer the paints and tilt the canvas to reveal cells and ribbons.
  • Finish & style — add accents, edges, even a resin gloss coat as an upgrade.
  • Take it home — your canvas needs to dry before it's ready; we'll let you know when to pick it up (see the product page for timing).

Questions guests ask

Good to know before you book

Is Makers Art Studio the same as Hawaii Fluid Art?

Yes — Makers Art Studio Pleasanton is the studio formerly known as Hawaii Fluid Art. Same location, same team, same fluid-art experience, plus a wider menu including resin, glass and our new Candle & Scent Bar.

What is fluid art / pour painting?

Fluid art is a brush-free technique where you pour flowing acrylic paints onto a canvas and tilt it to create marbled cells and ribbons of color. It's beginner-proof — every canvas comes out unique and striking.

When can I take my fluid art home?

Fluid art needs time to dry before it's ready, so most canvases are picked up a little later — we'll let you know when yours is ready. Check the class product page for timing on your specific experience.

Is fluid art good for kids and beginners?

It's ideal for both. There's no skill barrier, so a five-year-old and a first-time adult get equally beautiful results. Kids, teens, adults, couples and groups all book it.

How much is a fluid art class in Pleasanton?

The Fluid Art Experience is $35 per person with all materials included. Drip Art Characters are $65, and the oversize Masterpiece Series is $250.
